Futura, designed by Paul Renner in 1927, is a geometric sans-serif typeface that became a cornerstone of modern typography.  Influenced by the Bauhaus movement, its clean lines and balanced proportions reflected a forward-looking, minimalist aesthetic.

Futura was embraced across design, advertising, and architecture, symbolizing modernity and efficiency. It made history in 1969 as the first font on the Moon, appearing on the Apollo 11 plaque.

Over the years, Futura has been reinterpreted and reclaimed, including its use by feminist artists challenging mid-century advertising culture. Its legacy endures as a timeless design tool, blending functionality with cultural significance.
